Neil Gaiman announces a new Sandman mini-series

Starting about a week or two again, something possessed me to reach onto my bookshelves and begin re-reading the Sandman series, from Neil Gaiman. I have the entire series in four large, leather-bound volumes, encyclopedia sized. The size of these books makes a particular impression on me because each morning I pack my briefcase with my laptop, a pencil-case, and one of these giant, encyclopedia-sized Sandman books, and then walk or bike to the subway with the anticipation of sitting amongst my fellow subway drivers, removing an encyclopedia-sized Sandman book from my briefcase, opening to a colorful page of art and text, and enjoying my train-ride to my office in Boston's Financial District with stories of the Dream-King.

It seems funny to me that I just suddenly felt the need to re-emerse myself into the world of Dream of the Endless, because earlier today, nearly 25 years after the first Sandman series hit the stores, Neil Gaiman announced that he would be returning to DC Comics to write a new Sandman mini-series.
